This app ("European Portuguese", "we", "us") is operated by Tarek Marey, a sole trader based in Portugal. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Payment & billing data — when you subscribe or make a purchase, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your email, card details, and billing address. We never see or store your full card number.
• App usage data — your learning progress, flashcard results, and settings are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not collect this on our servers unless you create an account (see below).
• Access tokens — after payment, a small signed token proving your subscription status is stored in your browser. It contains no personal data beyond a Stripe customer reference.
• Account & sync data (optional) — if you choose to create a login (email + password, via Netlify Identity), we store your email address and use it to sync your learning progress, favourites, and custom flashcards across your devices. This is entirely optional — the app works fully without creating an account, using only local browser storage.

Why we collect it

• To process your payment and give you access to Premium features.
• To let you restore your purchase on a new device (via the email you paid with).
• To let you manage or cancel your subscription through Stripe's billing portal.

Who we share it with

Stripe, Inc. processes all payments on our behalf and acts as a data processor under GDPR. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the data they handle: stripe.com/privacy. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers — this app has no ads and no third-party trackers.

How long we keep it

Payment records are retained by Stripe as required by financial and tax law (typically several years). Your local app progress stays on your device until you clear your browser storage or uninstall the app.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Since most billing data is held by Stripe, you can also manage or delete your payment details directly via the "Manage / Cancel Subscription" button in the app. For any other request, contact us at tiko911925@gmail.com.
